Infographic – China’s Answer to Social Media

With the controversial “Golden Shield Project” that China implemented in 2003, mainland Chinese internet users do not have access to some of the world’s most popular websites. Despite having the world’s largest internet population of over 500 million users, websites such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube are out of bounds in China.
